About Our Organization

Asiatic Society for Social Science Research (ASSSR) is a research body amended as Body of Individuals under the Memorandum of Association signed on September 02, 2019.

ASSSR is a research initiative of a forum mainly engaged in the pursuits of generating new knowledge and analysis in social science based on original research, attempting at catering to the needs of a large number of social scientists engaged in teaching and research at different educational and research institutions across the world. Besides, we also cater to the needs of the members of civil society including journalists, legal professionals, NGO functionaries and policy makers. Asiatic Society for Social Science Research (ASSSR) stands to serve as a mirror to all these conflicting currents of socio-economic, cultural, political and psychological issues affecting human life in the 21st century.

 

The Aims and Objectives of the ASSSR is:

  1. To promote Social Science research;

  2. To co-ordinate Social Science research;

  3. To serve as forum for exchange of views through Annual Sessions, Conferences, Seminars, Symposium etc.;

  4. To help in the preservation of historical monuments and archaeological sources;

  5. To honour social scientists, who made substantial contributions in the field of Social Science;

  6. To establishing a publication divisions/house;

  7. To establishing a non-formal research institute, providing teaching and research methods of non-priorities areas of social sciences on a no-profit no-loss basis;

  8. To provide publishing platform to researchers and scholars from Social Science field;

  9. To promote and publish original articles in the relevant field of Social Science aiming to reduce the gap between research and practice;

  10. To the development of theory and practice of Social Science domains;

  11. To give scholars a chance to be part of the scholar community who assists and helps others in publication and review;

  12. To make research papers and scholarly articles online available affordable / free cost to all users without any subscription or login ID;

  13. To make research papers and scholarly articles in printed format for affordable / free cost to all users with the mode subscription or login ID;

  14. To create avenues for promotion and publication of research papers about and from socially, economically and culturally weakened sections of the society across the globe;

  15. To make research publication hassle free to ensure sharing of knowledge in due time;

  16. To facilitate the researchers, resource persons, practitioners and scholars to come on a platform and to share their findings of the research with the rest of the world so that informed decisions can be taken to improve businesses and societies as a whole;

  17. To launch special issues in the form of Books, Edited Volumes, Special Series, Conferences, Symposium etc. in times of need;

  18. To conduct special initiatives in the form of Short-Term (ranging from 1 day to 6 weeks) Course either Certificate or Non-Certificate to facilitate researchers, resource persons, practitioners and scholars; 

  19. To conduct special initiatives in the form of Long-Term (ranging from 1 month to 3 months) Course either Certificate or Non-Certificate to facilitate researchers, resource persons, practitioners and scholars;

  20. To keep the platform as inclusive as possible by keeping it open to theoretical, methodological, quantitative and qualitative scholarships from all the areas within the Social Sciences, defined as the academic disciplines concerned with the study of society, and their relationship between individuals within societies; and

  21. To receive and administer funds for the implementation of the above said objectives.

He authored 3 books and have 8 research papers. He worked with several government institutions such as National Museum, University of Delhi, National Archives of India, RSTV etc.

Current working as Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, Maharaja Agrasen College, University of Delhi. He have published several articles in journals and newspapers.

Currently pursuing his PhD from the University of Hyderabad. He also served as Research Assistance and Research Associate at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Foundation, New Delhi.

Surabhi Ghosh Moulick

Currently working as a Librarian in KVS. Also a working member of NGO Goonj, and had work under the COHSSIP project of UGC at Women's college, Bhagalpur. Worked as an editor of literally magazine 'Atati'. Edited an Ayurvedic magazine 'Tapowardhan' 'Shilpisena' and also contribute article about the life and living of stakeholders of Koshi river at Saharsa.

Working as an Archivist and Research Assistant with Alkazi foundation for the arts where he is working on the digitization of Indian theatre related documents.  Interested in History, culture, and archaeological studies.
