Internship Programme 2022

Asiatic Society for Social Science Research internship programme is offered to students of Graduate, Under Graduate and Doctorate levels who are enrolled as a student in any institution and who wish to do research on the social science, learn about organizational practices and acquire professional skills. These are unpaid internships and require a minimum commitment of 6 weeks and maximum of 12 weeks.

Internship Sessions:

Summer Internship Session

The organization offers internships for 12 weeks (about 3 months) in the months of June, July, and August.

Winter Internship Session

The organization offers internships for 12 weeks (about 3 months) in the months of December, January, and February.

Guidelines for Application:
  • The internship application should be submitted through the details mentioned in the advertisement. All the details regarding the internship will be updated on the website.

  • Centre For History and Archaeology can accommodate 24 interns overall (may vary time to time).

  • Candidates should have a keen interest in Archaeology, Ancient culture, Art, History, and allied subjects.

  • Submission of monthly report is mandatory. (Download Monthly Report Format)

  • There will be no stipends provided by the Organization but the candidate will receive a certificate after successful completion of the internship program.

  • The Centre will terminate the intern at any time if the Head is not satisfied with the progress of the work.

Process of Selection:

STEP I: How to Apply

Interested people should be prepared to work in a team environment. They will gain broad experience in various aspects of organizational and research environment.

✏ Statement of Purpose (500-750 words)
✏ Photocopy of College I-card
✏ Curriculum Vitae
✏ One Reference Letter from any Teacher/ Professor
✏ Writing Sample (1500-2000 words)

STEP II: Date of Joining for Internship
15th June (Summer Internship Session) & 15th December (Winter Internship Session)
➠ The Last date of submission of forms for the Summer Internship Session is 30th April 2022.
➠ The Last date of submission of forms for the Winter Internship Session is 30th October 2022.

SETP III: Orientation Programme
15th May (Summer Internship Session) & 15th December (Winter internship Session)
