Announces 1st Offline Summer Workshop on


July 01st – 03rd, 2022

The workshop aims to provide archaeological practicum include lectures, demonstrations and hands-on practice. How to process, analyze and interpret materials collected from the survey. The main focus will be on artefacts such as Indian Ceramic, Stone Tools, etc.

Aims and Objectives of the Workshop: -

  1. Understand Concepts & Theories on Indian Ceramics & Stone Tools.

  2. Practical Training on Identification, Assemblage Analysis, Recording & Interpretation of Stone Tools and Ancient Indian Potteries.

  3. Practical Training of Conservation of Pottery.

Eligibility Criterion: -

Pursuing / Completed Graduate / Post Graduate / Diploma in Archaeology / Museology / Heritage Management / History or other associated field.

Number of Seats: -

50 Seats (first cum first serve bases)

The online registration form will be disabled after first 50 slots are filled.

Programme Fee: - ₹ 3500 /- (inclusive of GST as applicable)

The fee is inclusive of Registration Fee, Lodging & Boarding, Food, Workshop & Study Materials and Hard & Soft Copies of the Certificates.

Additional Information: -

1. Participants must be fully vaccinated prior to the workshop. Therefore, only fully vaccinated participants will be allowed.

2. No TA/DA will be paid to the participants for attending the workshop.

3. In view of the ongoing Covid Pandemic situation all the candidates appearing in the workshop required to follow all the standard precautionary measures and Covid appropriate behavior including wearing of the mask and maintaining social distance and carrying sanitizer along with them.

4. Participants are advised to upload the vaccination certificate along the Registration Form. In case vaccination is still pending prior to the workshop, they can send soft copy to email id mentioned below.

Dr Amita Gupta

Dr Amita Gupta is an Assistant Professor at Lovely Professional University with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. Skilled in Lecturing, Cultural Heritage, Editing, Conference Speaking, and Curriculum Development. She is a strong research professional with a Research focus in Studies of Himalayan Ancient metallurgy. She has supervised 9 PhD thesis till date. She has been the recipient of Foreign Travel Grant ICHR, Foreign Travel Grant INAE, Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship, Namrata Joshi Gold Medal. She has more than 19 publications till date. Her language skills include French, Sanskrit, Hindi & English.
